West Ham captain Mark Noble insists Dimitri Payet is fully committed to the Hammers despite speculation about the Frenchman's long-term future at the club.

Payet has been one of West Ham's most impressive performers since arriving from Marseille in the summer of 2015, and the France international ended his debut season in England with nine league goals and eight assists to comfortably win the club's Hammer of the Year award, earn a place in the PFA Team of the Year and also be nominated for the 2016 Ballon d'Or award.

Payet, who finished 17th in the final Ballon d'Or list on Monday, agreed a new five-and-a-half year deal at West Ham worth £120,000 per week in February, but has since been linked with a move away from the club following the Hammers' difficult start to the new season.

The 29-year-old told French TV station Telefoot last month that he hadn't "closed the door to nothing" after being asked whether he would consider leaving West Ham in the January transfer window.

"Until now, I always chose my clubs depending on the sports project," he said. "I work like that. Until I can play at a level like this, it will be the case."

But despite speculation about Payet's future at West Ham, Noble has revealed the 29-year-old has shown nothing but commitment to the club in training and during matches.

"This season was going to be so difficult because of what he did last season. I am not just talking about he was one of the best players in the Premier League. For the last season, he has been one of the best players in the whole world with the Euros," Noble told talkSPORT.

"But the chances he has created this season and the important goals he has scored for us, Dimi is fully committed – I can tell you that now.

"He is great with the lads. I have got a very close bond with Dimi. I just love seeing people come to the club and do so well.

"I see him train every day. I see how he feels when he loses games. And don't forget, he hasn't even had a holiday.

"I still believe he has still been one of the best players this season in the Premier League. He has created chances for other players. It is up to other players to score those chances – he can't cross it and score it himself."
