Neil Warnock puts foot down as Adel Taarabt throws a tantrum

Ian Gibb11 April 2012

How much longer can Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock indulge his prince of petulance, Adel Taarabt?

Words like toys, pram, dummy were all appropriate on Saturday when the captain made it plain he'd had enough before half-time at Hull and wanted to come off, though uninjured.

Compare such histrionics to previous Rangers captain Martin Rowlands, who has battled back from two cruciate ligament operations but is simply not in Warnock's good books.

To his credit, the Rangers boss forced Taarabt to play the full 90 minutes of a goalless draw.

But if the midfielder is allowed to continue like a spoilt brat, it could split team morale.
