Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has led the club to sixth in the Premier League as we approach the halfway stage.

Indeed, Palace are level with fourth having recorded nine wins from 17 league fixtures so far this term. The partnewrship forged between Yohan Cabaye and James McArthur in midfield has been crucial, but Damien Delaney's form allied with continued trickery from Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie has the Eagles soaring.

And while chairman Steve Parish has ruled out a January spree similar to the club record outlay back in August, Palace are in the market, with the attacking department in need of reinforcements.

Connor Wickham's latest injury blow could see him sidelined for six weeks, which could accelerate Pardew's pursuit of Algeria international Islam Slimani.
