Personal physio gives Dembele the all-clear

Mousa Dembele could return for Tottenham in Thursday’s Europa League tie at Lazio after the midfielder’s personal physiotherapists claimed he had recovered from a hip injury.

Dembele has not played for Spurs since the 2-0 win over Aston Villa on October 7 after suffering a recurrence of the problem while on international duty with Belgium.

Manager Andre Villas-Boas had hoped the midfielder would be available for the north London derby but the game came too soon for him.

The chances of Dembele being involved in Rome look to be greatly improved, however, after the Belgian retweeted a message from an Antwerp-based physio. It read: “On my way to deliver @mousadembele injury free to his club @spursofficial.”

Spurs have won only one Premier League game since the £15million summer signing succumbed to injury.
