Petr Cech is confident that he has joined an Arsenal side who have just got the taste for trophies, and are on course to win more.
The Gunners’ new goalkeeper arrived at the Emirates having won every honour available to him during 11 years at Chelsea, a time where Arsenal slipped from perennial trophy winners to a nine-year drought ended in the 2014 FA Cup Final.
Arsenal followed that up by retaining the trophy in May and Cech believes that his new colleagues will follow up their cup victories with further success.
Speaking at Arsenal’s Members’ Day the 33-year-old said: “A lot of times, people say that if you win a major trophy you get satisfied and stop working. I think it’s the other way around.

“Once you win a big trophy, it’s such an amazing feeling of achievement and accomplishment that you want to live it again. This group now knows how to win trophies and they enjoy it very much.”
Cech has already earned his fair share of medals as he prepares for the start of the Premier League season, winning a trophy in each of the three pre-season games he has played for Arsenal. He capped his opening games with a good performance against former side Chelsea in the Community Shield, making one acrobatic save from an Oscar free-kick.
“You can see the celebration every time we win trophies, and everybody speaks about it,” Cech added. “I’m sure that everybody wants to at least repeat that this year.”
