Phil Neville will hand debuts to seven players for Tuesday’s Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Kazakhstan in Pavlodar.

The new faces will include the Chelsea defender Hannah Blundell, 24, and Arsenal pair Leah Williamson, a 21-year-old midfielder, and forward Beth Mead, 23.

The Lionesses secured qualification to next year’s tournament with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Wales in Newport on Friday, and head coach Neville said: “There’s so much depth of talent now in the women’s game in England.

“I’m determined to give youngsters the opportunity.

“They’ve earned it, they deserve it. It’s vital that we provide younger players with a clear pathway through to the senior team, regardless of the result against Wales this was always part of our long-term plan.”

Before Neville took up his role the side won the reverse fixture 5-0 back in November.

The game will be shown live on the BBC Red Button and the BBC Sport website at 4pm.
