West Ham defenders Winston Reid and Sam Byram are expected to be out for the rest of the season.

Reid damaged knee ligaments last weekend while Byram, who has been out for a major part of the season, suffered an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, the proposed fan protest march before Saturday’s home match against Burnley has been called off.

The protest against the club’s owners had been arranged by a number of fans’ groups. Following a meeting with vice chairman Karren Brady, however, one of the groups, the influential Real West Ham Fans Action Group, pulled out and now the march has been postponed.

The West Ham United Independent Supporters Association, said: “The group has been unable to gain permission to hold a peaceful, lawful demonstration.

“Correspondence from Newham Council stated, ‘it would be beneficial if we could postpone for a short period to consider a proposal which would be safe for participants, without substantial disruption to the road network.’”
