AC Milan have resumed talks with QPR over signing beleaguered midfielder Adel Taarabt.

Rangers are still looking to offload the 25-year-old, who has made just five appearances this season, before the window shuts on Monday.

Taarabt revealed earlier this month that he had been in talks with Inter Milan, but as yet, no firm offer has been made.

Inter's fierce rivals, AC Milan, signed the Morocco international on loan for the second half of last season and are exploring the possibility of doing the same again.

QPR would prefer to sell Taarabt outright and get his £65,000-a-week salary off the wage bill once and for all, but their £6m asking price is putting off potential suitors.

Meanwhile, QPR have rejected Derby's offer to take squad members Junior Hoilett and Matt Phillips on loan.

Both have struggled to make an impact this term, but QPR are only interested in talking over permanent rather than temporary transfers.
