The January transfer window is seven days old and clubs are starting to get deals over the line.

Everton have snapped up Swiss striker Shani Tarashaj from Grasshoppers Zurich while Sunderland have bolstered their defensive ranks with towering Bayern Munich defender Jan Kirchhoff.

Down here in the capital, completed deals have been few and far between.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have agreed to send Wallace on loan to Gremio until the end of the 2017 season.

But the 21-year-old might not be the only Chelsea player involved in a loan switch this month.

Radamel Falcao has had a torrid time at Stamford Bridge and the Colombian forward looks set to have his temporary spell in west London cut short, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho was confident he could help the striker regain his best form - but failed - and Guus Hiddink seems unlikely to have the chance to even try.

The formerly formidable front man has suffered an injury setback and is poised to return to Monaco, who hope to get him firing again ahead of a summer sale.
