Football in Scotland has been further suspended until June 10 at the earliest across all levels, from professional to recreational.
The Scottish Premiership has been suspended since March 13, and - although there will be no football for the next three months - Scotland’s top flight will remain that way for now, rather than being cancelled.
Should a restart down the road prove impossible, the final standings could be decided on a points per match basis, but for now the Scottish FA and SPFL board will continue to search for the “best possible opportunity" for a conclusion.
No further decisions will be made until Uefa have held their executive meeting on April 23.
Scottish FA president Rod Petrie said: “The message is very clear. The government restrictions introduced to save lives must be adhered to and there is no prospect of an early resumption of training let alone organised football in Scotland for several weeks.
"The decision to suspend all football until at least 10 June is to help clubs ensure the safety and wellbeing of players, staff and supporters as well as take steps to mitigate their costs.
"Scottish football applauds everyone working within NHS Scotland and the care sector and should place no additional burden at a time when their resources are being tested to the limit because of Covid-19."
Where Scotland’s top flight is to be suspended indefinitely, the lower leagues will learn their fate on Friday.
A meeting between all 42 SPFL clubs will be held to decide the fates of the Championship, League One and League Two seasons, cancellations a real possibility.
