Double delight: new City signing Aguero celebrates scoring last night

Sergio Aguero insists the best is yet to come after an explosive League debut for Manchester City last night.

The £38million summer signing came off the bench to score two goals as City thrashed newly-promoted Swansea 4-0 at Etihad Stadium.

The Argentine said: "It was nice. I am happy. The start was really good and I want to keep it like this.

"I had a chance to play a little bit and I enjoyed it.

"I helped the team and I want to keep doing the same in the future."

Due to the striker's international commitments at the Copa America over the summer and his late arrival to pre-season training following his move from Atletico Madrid, City manager Roberto Mancini left him on the bench for the 3-2 Community Shield defeat against Manchester United on August 7.

But last night, Aguero's arrival after an hour, a minute after £27m striker Edin Dzeko had given City the lead, sparked the home side into life and gave Mancini's expensively-assembled team the best possible start to the Premier League season.
