Sheffield United v Fulham team news: Rene Meulensteen hands Josh Passley debut

The FA Cup fourth-round clash between Sheffield United and Fulham passed a late pitch inspection to go ahead despite heavy rain and unhelpful conditions at Bramall Lane.

Referee Andre Marriner completed his final checks shortly after midday, less than an hour before kick-off, and although the ball held up noticeably in certain areas gave the green light to proceed.

That was good news for Fulham's Josh Passley, who was handed his professional debut and Muamer Tankovic, who will make his first start for the club.

Sheff Utd: Long, Brayford, Maguire, Collins, Hill, Flynn, Coady, Doyle, Murphy, Baxter, Porter. Subs: Harris, Scougall, Howard, Miller, McGinn, Kennedy, De Girolamo.

Fulham: Stockdale, Passley, Hughes, Senderos, Riise, Duff, Karagounis, David, Kasami, Tankovic, Rodallega. Subs: Plumain, Stekelenburg, Kacaniklic, Taarabt, Christensen, Bent, Pritchard.
