Jose Mourinho has been appointed as Tottenham's new head coach after Daniel Levy axed Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday evening.
Mourinho has enjoyed lengthy spells with Tottenham's Premier League rivals Chelsea (twice) and Manchester United, and during his second spell with Chelsea denied Pochettino a trophy in the 2015 League Cup Final.
That triumph is one of 25 trophies Mourinho has won during a glittering managerial career spanning seven clubs.
On Monday, the Portuguese put pen to paper at an eighth club, signing a contractat Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until the end of the 2022-23 season.

“As we say in Portugal, they brought the bus and they left the bus in front of the goal. Asked if Tottenham had tried to hire him as their manager in 2007, Mourinho said: “Yes. I couldn’t go. I couldn’t train in England for two years.” Pressed if he would have taken the job if a deal had been agreed, Mourinho replied: “No, because I love Chelsea supporters too much. I’m Chelsea.”

“Mauricio has four very good years at Spurs, brings them to the final of the Champions League and is still waiting for the first trophy, not just with Tottenham but of his career. I feel very sorry for Mauricio.”
