Thierry Henry misses out on Arsenal debut today

Delayed debut: Thierry Henry waves from the stands to fans
11 April 2012

Thierry Henry is expected to make his second Arsenal debut against Leeds on Monday night despite his two-month loan deal hitting a stumbling block over insurance cover.

The 34-year-old was due to feature in a reserve team game against Sunderland this afternoon but was forced to sit the match out as an agreement is yet to be reached with New York Red Bulls and Major League Soccer over a financial remuneration plan should Henry get injured.

Talks are ongoing and although Arsene Wenger was keen for Henry to get match practice this week as he looks to step up his fitness, the striker is still set to take part in next week's FA Cup third round clash in place of the rested Robin van Persie.
