Tony Fernandes not worried as QPR plan player cull

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes is confident the club will be able to cull their large squad in the summer and still be able to compete for promotion in the Championship next season.

Fernandes met with manager Harry Redknapp on Monday to discuss which players he wanted to keep and who should be sold following their relegation from the top flight.

It is feared QPR may struggle to sell them elsewhere but Fernandes said: “The transfer policy is in place now for next season and beyond.

“We’ve been through who Harry wants to keep and who he is happy to let go. There are some that will want to stay, others that might want to move on. Every football club in England has players that the manager would rather were not there.”
