Tottenham injury boost as Dejan Kulusevski spotted in training ahead of north London derby

Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski trained on Tuesday as he continues his return from injury ahead of the north London derby.

Spurs have kept tight-lipped on the nature of the Swede’s issue after he pulled out of the defeat to Aston Villa with a muscle problem before also missing the wins over Crystal Palace and Portsmouth.

Bryan Gil has impressed in Kulusevski’s absence but Antonio Conte would enjoy the selection headache of having his first-choice right winger back for Sunday’s north London derby against Arsenal.

On Tuesday, Sky Sports cameras showed Kulusevski in training as he continues his comeback.

The 22-year-old was undergoing light individual work with no timeframe currently placed on his return to playing action.

Yves Bissouma also featured in Tottenham training having withdrawn from the FA Cup tie on the weekend with an ankle knock.

Conte said after the game: “It's an injury that came from the last match. Bissouma has an ankle problem.

“He tried to push himself and we worked to have Bissouma on the pitch, but he was mature to say the truth and he was not 100 per cent.”

Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur were not available for training with both expected to miss Spurs’ clash with Arsenal.
