Napoli are interested in Kieran Trippier but Tottenham have no desire to sell the right-back this summer.

Trippier is expected to sign an extended contract, increasing his £50,000-a-week wages.

The 27-year-old, who is preparing for the World Cup with England, has credited Pochettino with turning around his career after joining Spurs from Burnley three years ago. “It’s surreal,” he said. “[For the last World Cup] I was in my dad’s garden with friends and family watching on a big screen.

“To get an opportunity at international level, there’s no better club than Tottenham and no better manager. The manager teaches you. Even when I wasn’t playing, he was talking to me, telling me my chance will come.”
