Tottenham players have arrived at Hotspur Way for their first training session under Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho was confirmed as the new Spurs head coach early on Wednesday morning, signing a three-and-half year deal with the north London club.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager is expected to take training for the first time this afternoon, less than 24 hours after Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking.
His first game in charge will be against West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
“I am excited to be joining a club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters,” Mourinho said following confirmation of his appointment.
“The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me.”
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, announcing Mourinho's arrival, said: "In Jose we have one of the most successful managers in football.
"He has a wealth of experience, can inspire teams and is a great tactician. He has won honours at every club he has coached.
"We believe he will bring energy and belief to the dressing room."
