Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has revealed he would rather hang up his boots than play for north London rivals Arsenal.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a superb start to his Premier League career this season and has firmly established himself as a key member of Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Alli's form has seen him shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award alongside teammate Harry Kane and could also help Spurs finish above the Gunners for the first time since 1995.

Spurs currently boast a six-point lead over Arsene Wenger's side - with just five games left to play - and Alli insists he would not even consider representing Arsenal if an opportunity to do so arose.

Speaking to Copa90 as part of a 'Fifa & Chill' episode which will be made available next Tuesday, Alli was asked to choose between playing for Arsenal and retiring.

His response to such a scenario will be music to the ears of Tottenham fans around the world: "I'm hanging my boots up."

Alli has become a firm fans' favourite at Spurs as his cheeky demeanour - and fledgling bromance with Eric Dier - has struck a chord with the White Hart Lane faithful.

The youngster's latest comment is likely to see him go up in Spurs fans' estimations once again.
