Stoke are set to complete the signing of Tottenham winger Jack Clarke on loan until the end of the season.

The Potters are expected to complete a deal in the next 24 hours after beating off competition from other Championship clubs.

Clarke, 20, spent last season on loan at former club Leeds and then QPR, but Spurs blocked another temporary deal in the summer, with manager Jose Mourinho deciding to keep the promising youngster at the club.

He has made two appearances this season, as a second-half substitute in the Europa League win over LASK and in Sunday’s FA Cup third-round win over eighth-tier Marine.

Clarke joined Spurs from Leeds United for £10million in summer 2019 – their first signing in over a year – but was overlooked after immediately returning to Elland Road on loan before injuries disrupted his spell at QPR.
