Lucas Alario today revealed his dream to play in Europe amid reports Tottenham are among the clubs interested in signing him.

The 20-year-old striker is currently at River Plate but the player’s agent, Pedro Aldave, confirmed over the weekend that Genoa had tabled a bid with Spurs also monitoring the situation.

Alario’s contract is believed to contain an £11million release clause and Aldave said: “Today Alario is at River. There was only one proposal, from Genoa, and interest of Tottenham. If Tottenham pays the clause, Alario is going.”

And Alario added: “Like every player, I dream to play in Europe at some point in my career but I have to keep growing and learning.”
