No bid: Berahino has interested Spurs but West Brom haven't bid
James Benge28 July 2015

West Bromwich Albion have announced they have not yet received a bid for striker Saido Berahino.

Tottenham are preparing a £15 million bid for the 21-year-old, who scored 20 goals last season, but Tony Pulis' side are yet to receive an offer from any side, according to their official Twitter account.

Albion are understood to value Berahino at £20 million after a season in which he managed 14 Premier League goals. However club and player fell out earlier this year, with the striker not celebrating any of the four goals he scored in an FA Cup win over Gateshead. In February Berahino said he would look move on "to bigger things" in a Sky Sports interview.

The highly-rated striker is seen as a good fit at White Hart Lane and in line with both chairman Daniel Levy and coach Mauricio Pochettino's preference for young talent that can increase in value.

Berahino currently earns £15,000-a-week at The Hawthorns, a figure that Tottenham would be willing to almost treble.
