Tottenham v Stoke team news: Paulinho returns from suspension

Tottenham midfielder Paulinho marked his return from suspension with a first start under Tim Sherwood against Stoke.

Back after a three-match ban, the Brazil international was one of five changes for the White Hart Lane clash.

Zeki Fryers was handed his first Premier League start against the Potters, while Kyle Naughton, Mousa Dembele and Aaron Lennon also came in.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes made three alterations, with Wilson Palacios, Andy Wilkinson and Stephen Ireland named in the starting line-up.

Spurs: Lloris, Naughton, Dawson, Chiriches, Fryers, Lennon, Paulinho, Eriksen, Dembele, Adebayor, Soldado. Subs: Capoue, Chadli, Friedel, Bentaleb, Veljkovic, Fredericks, Lamela.

Stoke: Sorensen, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Cameron, Pieters, Walters, Palacios, Nzonzi, Assaidi, Ireland, Crouch. Subs: Pennant, Jones, Ness, Butland, Etherington, Muniesa, Adam.
