Tottenham and Chelsea will meet in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium on January 8.

Kick-off will be at 8pm, with the capacity capped at 51,000.

Details for the second leg have not been confirmed but history suggests January 22, with Manchester City and Burton Albion the following day.

It will be the first meeting between the two teams since Spurs ran out 3-1 winners over Maurizio Sarri's side at the national stadium in late November.

Chelsea lost to Arsenal at this stage last season, while Spurs are in the last four for the first time since losing to the Blues in the final four years ago.

Mauricio Pochettino has described the two-legged semi-final as a "very difficult draw".

"It's another London derby," Pochettino said. “We have already played Watford, West Ham and Arsenal.

"We shall see, Chelsea are a great team but we are excited. To be in the semi-final is fantastic for us."
