Tottenham midfielder Nacer Chadli has vowed to improve next season following a steady campaign at White Hart Lane.

The Belgium international scored 11 goals in 28 Premier League starts, including standout strikes against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium and a cool fifth in the eight-goal thriller against Chelsea at home.

But Chadli has targeted a larger tally during his third season in north London and also hopes to carve out more chances for Spurs team-mates.

The 25-year-old, who provided five assists last season, told Tottenham's official website: “I had some good games last year and it was a positive season for me, but I can still improve a lot and I know that.

“I try to work every day on that and next season, I think you’ll see a better Nacer Chadli.

“I can improve in many ways. I think I can score more goals, make more assists and play better games than I did last season, even though it was a big improvement for me.

“I know what I can do and I want to show it.”
