West Ham manager Slaven Bilic believes Tottenham's title bid could be derailed by the Premier League fixture list.

Spurs are flying high in second place ahead of tomorrow's trip to Upton Park and are just two points adrift of leaders Leicester.

The north Londoners have only lost three top-flight games this season and are firmly in the title race, despite being billed as little more than top-four contenders at the start of the campaign.

Bilic is adamant Mauricio Pochettino's side can be crowned champions for the first time since 1961 but believes a gruelling schedule represents the most difficult hurdle they have to navigate.

"Of course they [Tottenham] can [win the title]. They are there and it is only 11 games to go so why not?

"They are playing good football, they look hungry, so yes," he told West Ham's official website.

"The only problem might be all the fixtures but [Mauricio] Pochettino is experienced enough to know how to handle that."

While Spurs are aspiring to finish at the top of the pile, Bilic's side could yet launch a late surge towards the Champions League places.

The Hammers are four points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City and Bilic is determined to keep the club's unbeaten home record, which stretches back to last August, intact against Spurs.

“Our home form has been very good recently and we want to do everything we can to keep this run going.

“We are playing pretty well, of course we can improve and that’s what we are trying to do,” he insisted.
