Trio poised to depart QPR

QPR appear likely to loan out Luke Young, DJ Campbell and Radek Cerny until at least the January transfer window.

The trio were all omitted from Mark Hughes' squad for the first half of the Premier League season yesterday and are expected to be made available to clubs outside the top flight when the emergency loan transfer window opens next week.

QPR did attempt to offload both Campbell and Young permanently or on loan before the summer transfer window closed but were unable to do so.

Meanwhile, new signing Stephane Mbia has admitted he did not want to leave Marseille.

The midfielder joined QPR on transfer deadline lane for a reported £4.5million, with Joey Barton going the other way on loan.

Mbia told RMC: "I didn't want to go but the owner of the club made me understand I had to leave.

"The wage bill had to be reduced and certain players had to go."

One player delighted to be wearing a QPR jersey is Alejandro Faurlin, who has now enjoyed back-to-back starts since spending seven months out with a cruciate ligament injury.

"I didn't expect to be back so soon," Faurlin told his club's official website, www.qpr.co.uk. "My target was to come back after the international break but football is like this.

"I feel I am 70% fit at the moment. I just need to get that sharpness back and this will come by playing games."

Faurlin, who started last week's Capital One Cup win over Walsall and Saturday's Barclays Premier League defeat at Manchester City, added: "It is obviously difficult to play two games in one week after being out for so long but the gaffer wanted me to play, and I of course wanted to play.

"I am pleased. It is positive for me because my knee didn't react. Now I have two weeks to get my sharpness back and get my tempo back."
