Not an empty seat in site: 200,000 people attend the first final held at Wembley
Standard Sport4 September 2014

Fans are being invited to relive Wembley's most memorable moments in a brand new and exclusive exhibition on show at the national stadium.

The display comes free of charge to those taking the stadium tour and includes famous images from various sporting events and concerts over the last century.

Having played host to a World Cup, two Olympic Games and various European Cup finals, the exhibition houses a wealth of footballing history, but also documents the 1920s construction at the north-west London site.

Drawn from Getty Images' bank of vast content, some never-before-seen images are already causing a stir following Thursday's grand opening at the iconic venue, which was attended by World Cup winner Geoff Hurst.

Wembley chairman Melvin Benn said at Thurday's opening of the exhibition: "Over the years, Wembley has created memories that will last a lifetime and we're proud to allow fans of all ages to relive these today."
