VIDEO: Ronaldo quickly up to his old tricks

Theatrical: Ronaldo has already been accused of diving
11 April 2012

Cristiano Ronaldo sparked controversy in notching his first goal for new side Real Madrid last night.

The ex-Manchester United winger earned a penalty with a typically theatrical sprawl in the area in the 4-2 friendly win over Ecuadorian side Liga de Quito.

Ronaldo duly converted from the spot before Liga de Quito manager Jorge Fossati was sent to the stands by the referee for claiming the Portuguese "dived just a bit too much".

Ronaldo, who also set up Real's second goal, shrugged off the furore and said: "I'm very pleased to score my first goal in this shirt."
