David Moyes left the Emirates Stadium wondering how on earth West Ham failed to secure what would have been a crucial win in their fight to beat the drop.

The Hammers were brilliant against Arsenal but wasted four glorious chances at 0-0 and will look back on this as one that got away.

Michail Antonio could have scored a hat-trick. He missed three good chances, Sebastien Haller also missed a sitter and West Ham were made to pay when Alexandre Lacazette won it late on to leave them still just above the bottom three only on goal difference.

West Ham did not deserve to lose. When they play like this, it makes you wonder how they are in such a mess.

Individual mistakes at the back have cost West Ham this season. Against Arsenal it was their failure to covert chance that hurt them. Moyes admitted after the game that he had never created as many chances at Arsenal in all his years as a manager.

Moyes will be concerned that three good performances against Liverpool, Southampton and Arsenal have only yielded three points.
