West Ham legend John Bond passed away today aged 79.
Bond, who was part of the Hammers team who won the FA Cup in 1964, played 444 games for the Upton Park club before joining Torquay in 1966.
He managed seven different Football League clubs including Manchester City and Norwich and led City to the 1981 FA Cup Final where they lost to Tottenham in a thrilling replay.
Bond (above) began his managerial career with Bournemouth and led them to promotion from the old fourth division at the end of his first season in charge.
After Norwich — who he led to the 1975 League Cup Final — and City he managed Burnley, Swansea, Birmingham and Shrewsbury.
