‘You don’t win the title with Joel Campbell in your team’ – Standard Sport preview Arsenal vs Sunderland

James Benge4 December 2015

After going three Premier League games without a win, Arsenal host Sunderland on Saturday in the hope of resurrecting their title charge despite an injury crisis at the club.

Following an impressive beginning to the league campaign, the Gunners have since fallen behind Leicester City and Manchester United in the table after losing away to West Brom which was sandwiched between two draws with Norwich and Tottenham.

To add to Arsene Wenger's woes, the club have seen several of their first-team players be hit with injury - with Santi Cazorla the latest to be ruled out of action.

With that in mind, the Gunners will be aiming to get nothing other than a win when Sunderland pay them a visit on Saturday afternoon, with Wenger likely to have to shuffle his pack to deal with missing players.

That could see Joel Campbell come into the starting line-up, although Wenger will be wary of his team sustaining any further injuries at the Emirates Stadium.

Sunderland's revival in recent weeks coupled with Arsenal's upcoming Champions League game may also play a part in how Wenger sets up his side on Saturday.
