Paul Pogba was the star of the show for Manchester United with two goals and an assist as the Red Devils opened their Champions League campaign with a 3-0 win away at Young Boys.

Despite uncertainty over his future after a summer of transfer rumours and reports of a falling-out with Jose Mourinho, Pobga was on top form as he inspired a comfortable win in Switzerland.

Pogba opened the scoring with a fine top-corner finish with his weaker left foot in Bern, and put United two goals up before half-time with a penalty - keeping the responsibility despite missing his last effort.

The World Cup winner then helped make sure of the win by breaking forward and teeing up Anthony Martial for a close-range finish after the hour-mark.

The win leaves United top of Group H after Juventus' 2-0 win at Valencia, though the Italian champions could be without Cristiano Ronaldo for a good portion of the group stages after his straight red card at the Mestalla.
