Gloucester sign Murphy

Gloucester have further bolstered their front-row resources for next season by recruiting London Irish prop Dan Murphy.

Essex-born Murphy has made almost 80 appearances for the Exiles, and he will move to Kingsholm along with Italy A prop Dario Chistolini, who links up with Gloucester from Petrarca.

Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath said: "Dan is a guy who has clocked up an impressive amount of experience for a guy who is still only aged 25, and we feel he's still got his best years ahead of him. He is an impressive scrummager, so he will complement the guys we already have in place."
