Helveg set for Canaries debut

Denmark defender Thomas Helveg is set to make his long-awaited debut for Norwich in their pre-season friendly at Peterborough tonight after finally receiving international clearance.

The 33-year-old, signed on a free transfer from Inter Milan this summer, has been forced to watch his new team-mates from the sidelines while the necessary paperwork was being completed.

However, he has now been given the green light to pull on a Canaries jersey for the first time when manager Nigel Worthington takes his side to London Road, with former Posh favourites Leon McKenzie and Adam Drury set for a return.
