Higgins's dash puts out Dott

World number two John Higgins overcame the challenge of fellow Scot Graeme Dott in the first round of the world snooker championships, completing a comfortable 10-4 victory.

Higgins compiled breaks of 139 - the highest of the tournament so far - and 136 in the match. He also knocked in four half-centuries.
