Horan nears Saracens debut

Chris Jones13 April 2012

Tim Horan will make his long-awaited Saracens debut in their Tetley's Bitter Cup fourth-round clash with Bedford on 4 November.

The double World Cup-winning Australian centre has been recovering from the foot injury he sustained in what turned out to be his final Wallaby match, against Argentina in Brisbane in the summer.

Horan, the Player of the Tournament at the 1999 World Cup, has been undergoing a seemingly endless round of check-ups and rehabilitation exercises since arriving in London.

That hard work has paid off and the former Queensland player is looking forward to making his Saracens debut.

Francois Pienaar, Saracens chief executive officer, said: "Tim will play some part in the cup match and that's great news for him and the club.

"Tim is a class player and we are delighted to have him fit and ready to play."
