It's grim up north for Bees

Tom Collomosse13 April 2012

Kevin O'Connor fears Brentford will miss out on promotion if they fail to improve their form in the north of England.

The Bees travel to Accrington tonight having won one and lost four of their fixtures against northern clubs Bury, Chesterfield, Chester, Morecambe and Macclesfield this term.

And while Brentford remain second in the table, skipper O'Connor said: "We have to sort out our away form, especially against northern teams.

"If we can do that, things are looking really positive. We have to go to Accrington and do our job.

"After beating Chester at the weekend, we need to record back-to-back wins, and prove those people wrong who say we can't win in the north."
