It's Open night for the women

The US Open women's final will be the first Grand Slam championship match to be played at night-time, it was announced today.

The match in September will be held at 8pm, following the two men's singles semi-finals. In past years, the women's final and men's semi-finals were all staged during the day on Saturday.

The men's final will still be staged on Sunday afternoon.
