Jaaskelainen set for Tottenham switch?

Trotting out: Jaaskelainen wants to leave Bolton
13 April 2012

Spurs are among numerous clubs who have been identified as potential purchasers of Jussi Jaaskelainen after the Bolton goalkeeper refused to sign a new contract at the Reebok Stadium.

Tottenham are reported to be after a new goalkeeper to put pressure on England No.1 Paul Robinson - even though they have Czech shot-stopper Radek Cerny and England Under-21 international Ben Alnwick on their books and have been linked with Livorno stoper Marco Amelia.

Jaaskelainen is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and the 32-year-old from Finland has been with the Trotters for the past 11 years but has failed to agree to new terms.

He has previously been linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal among other top clubs.
