Keown considers Pompey job

12 April 2012

Martin Keown has revealed he will meet Tony Adams next week to discuss joining the new Portsmouth manager's coaching staff.

Adams took over at Fratton Park earlier this week after Harry Redknapp left to succeed Juande Ramos at Tottenham and Keown could soon rejoin his former Arsenal centre-back partner Adams on the south coast.

"If I can help in any way it's something I am prepared to look at," Keown told BBC Football Focus. "That's why we are going to meet."

He added: "I need to decide if it's something for me to do in my career. I'm quite comfortable at the moment at the BBC and it would be quite a life-changing decision to go back into football."
