Klitschko snubs Haye's bid for title showdown

David Haye hijacked a charity press conference yesterday to demand a fight against Wladimir Klitschko.

But the WBF and IBO heavyweight champion told 'The Hayemaker' to prove himself before he would put his titles on the line.

At the launch of 'Fight for Peace', a boxing initiative to get children off the streets of London, Hayes was told that Klitschko's mandatory fights against Alexsander Povetkin take priority.

'In the heavyweight division, you're nothing,' said Klitschko.

But Haye countered: 'The last man who stepped up to heavyweight from undisputed cruiserweight champion, what did he do?

'Evander Holyfield came and won the title, and I'm bigger than Evander — you know I am.
