Luke Donald reaps rewards of some positive thinking

Luke Donald never doubted himself as he fought back from an indifferent start to finish runner-up at the Verizon Heritage.

The Englishman had rounds of 73 and 70 at the par-71 Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina before shooting a 65 and closing 66.

That saw him finish level with American Briny Baird on 10 under par, 10 strokes behind runaway winner Brian Gay. "I always felt my game was in a good position," he said. "I felt something good was going to happen and lo and behold I made 15 birdies."
