Mauricio Pochettino was delighted after overseeing 'one of the best' Tottenham performances since he took the reins at White Hart Lane.
Pochettino hailed his squad for coming through the domestic following Wednesday's grueling League Cup semi-final at Bramall Lane. The prolific combination of Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen produced three goals in a comfortable victory over West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
Spurs have developed a tendency to leave it late to secure the points, but no last minute heroics were required from Eriksen this week as they romped home against a lackluster West Brom side.
Mauricio Pochettino said: "I'm very pleased and very proud, it was a great performance, we played one of our best games since the beginning of the season.
"This was a challenge, it's always difficult when you've gone to a final in difficult conditions and then be ready to play a tough side like West Brom.
West Brom brought in Tony Pulis with the hope that he could keep them away from the relegation battle, but they remain within touching distance of Leicester and co.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis said: "The first 20 minutes were very disappointing, we started flat and flaky in many respects. Then their keeper has made two wonderful saves, and we needed that goal to get back into the game, then it would have been game on.
"We had opportunities, but it was not our day."
