Leeds hooker Paul McShane is set to make his debut for Hull against Wakefield on Friday night after joining them on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old McShane, whose chances of Super League rugby at Headingley are restricted by the presence of Matt Diskin and Danny Buderus, will help cover the absence of Shaun Berrigan with a broken collarbone.

Hull coach Richard Agar said: "After a tough Easter period we have picked up some short-term injuries, particularly in our pivots, and have had a look at the loan market to provide us with some cover. I coached Paul at junior representative level and he is a talented ball player."

McShane has made just four Super League appearances for the Rhinos, including one as substitute against Hull KR last month, but is contracted to Leeds until 2013.

With forwards Lee Radford, Danny Tickle and Craig Fitzgibbon joining Berrigan, Sean Long, Mark Calderwood and Reece Lyne on the club's growing injury list, Agar has called youngsters Danny Nicklas and Liam Cunningham into his 19-man squad.
