Mountainous task for Lance

13 April 2012

The Tour de France moves to the mountains today after 10 relatively flat stages with riders facing a 158km ride from Pau to the ski resort of La Mongie in the Pyrenees.

Defending champion Lance Armstrong is expected to be leading the Tour overall by the end of it, for he has won the first mountain stage for the past two years.

The American, chasing a fourth straight Tour de France triumph, trails the holder of the leader's yellow jersey - Spain's Igor Gonzalez de Galdeano - by just 26 seconds.
