Moyes vows to fight on

13 April 2012

David Moyes will not quit despite last night's UEFA Cup exit.

A 2-1 defeat away to Standard Liege sealed a 4-3 first round aggregate defeat and followed Everton's exit in the Carling Cup.

They are also struggling in the Premier League in 14th place.

Moyes has yet to sign a new contract but the manager said: "Who says when you come into football management that every year you're going to have a good year?

"No one has a divine right to win games. You have to earn the right to do so.

"There's no manager in football who thinks they have an easy ride, But I want to stay."
