Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has made two changes as his title-chasing team look for a win to take them five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
With Jordan Henderson serving the first of a three game suspension following is red card against Manchester City, Rodgers has called up Brazilian midfielder Lucas.
Joe Allen comes in for injured striker Daniel Sturridge with Phillippe Coutinho set to play in a more advanced position for the Reds.
Norwich - who sacked manager Chris Hughton after their last home game, a 1-0 defeat to West Brom - recalled Gary Hooper as club-record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel was on the bench. There was no place again in the match-day squad for captain Sebastien Bassong, left out by new boss Neil Adams.
