O'Driscoll set for scan

12 April 2012

Brian O'Driscoll will undergo a scan on the hamstring injury he sustained in Ireland's 19-9 RBS 6 Nations victory over Wales.

O'Driscoll limped off with five minutes of Sunday's match remaining and Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan confirmed his captain is a doubt for Sunday's clash with France.

"It's too early yet to say whether Brian will be available for France," O'Sullivan. "He'll go for a scan when we get back."

He added: "He's up and about but we won't know the extent of any damage until we get back.

"He's sore and he's got a bruise on the back of his thigh and that complicates matters. It isn't known whether the bruising will affect the injury."
