Ogilvy hanging on

12 April 2012

Australian Geoff Ogilvy was clinging to a one-stroke lead late in the final round at the CA Championship in Florida.

Ogilvy, who had nine holes left when play resumed at Doral's Blue Monster, reeled off six successive pars to remain as he started the day at 17 under with three holes remaining.

But South African Retief Goosen picked up two quick birdies to make his presence felt at 16 under with two holes to play.

Tiger Woods, seeking to improve his seven-event winning streak, also made a move with three birdies - although he seemed likely to come up a little short, two strokes behind with only one hole left.

Fellow American Jim Furyk was also two shots behind with two holes to play, while Fiji's Vijay Singh fell away with back-to-back bogeys.

Englishman Graeme Storm also fell out of contention, four shots behind with three holes remaining.
